Yes. The rule of thumb is at least three teeth in the cut at all times, and on thin wall like EMT or small tubing only a fine pitch such as 24 TPI keeps enough teeth engaged. A coarser blade straddles the wall, grabs, and strips teeth. For thicker solid bar, step down in TPI instead.
