Milwaukee Tool Quick Change Carbide Hole Cutter (1 PK)

They run on the Milwaukee quick change arbor 49-57-0035, sold separately. The cutter itself is just the cup, so if you don't already have that arbor on the bench you need to add one to the order before the crew can drill anything.

Up to 3/8 inch. The cutting depth is 3/16 inch, and the cutter is built for hand held drilling in material up to 3/8 inch thick. Anything deeper, like a thick plate or a stacked assembly, is past what this cup is meant to do.

Conduit knockout sizes are bigger than the trade size of the pipe, so match the cutter to the knockout you need, not the conduit label. The six diameters offered are 7/8, 1, 1-1/8, 1-1/4, 1-3/8 and 2-1/2 inch. For 1/2 inch EMT the usual knockout is 7/8 inch and for 3/4 inch EMT it is 1-1/8 inch.

Handheld is what it is built for. Milwaukee specifies these carbide cutters for hand held operations, which is the point for an electrician cutting enclosures, panels and boxes in place rather than on a bench.

Pick by material thickness. This carbide cutter has a shallow 3/16 inch cutting depth and is sized for sheet material up to 3/8 inch thick, which covers panel walls, enclosures and boxes. If you are cutting deep stock, wood framing, or anything thicker than 3/8 inch, you want a deep cup bi-metal hole saw instead, because this cutter will bottom out.

One cutter per pack, in a single diameter. There is no assortment, so if you are stocking a van or standardizing a crew's kits you order each size separately plus the 49-57-0035 quick change arbor.
