Yes. The MALB-6 is a 2 inch trade size fitting with NPT threaded hubs made to take rigid and IMC conduit. Both conduit types share the same NPT hub thread, so a 2 inch rigid run and a 2 inch IMC run land in the same elbow. It is not made for EMT, which is unthreaded.
2) Is a mogul pulling elbow the right fitting, or should I use a standard conduit elbow?
Two different jobs. A standard elbow just turns the run and has no opening. A mogul pulling elbow like the MALB-6 has a removable dome cover so you can reach in and pull conductors around the 90, which is what you want on long or heavily loaded runs where you cannot pull through a sealed sweep. The MALB-6 gives 128 cubic inches of pulling volume inside the body. If nobody needs access at that corner, a plain elbow is the cheaper and smaller choice.
3) Can the MALB-6 pulling elbow be used outdoors or in a wet location?
It is built rain-tight. The dome cover seats against a gasket on machined cover edges, and stainless steel cover screws hold the seal, so it suits outdoor junction points and service entrance work. Body is copper-free die cast aluminum for corrosion resistance. The gasket has to be in place and the cover screws drawn down evenly for the rain-tight seal to hold.
4) What replacement cover and gasket fit this Thomas & Betts mogul elbow?
The die cast replacement cover is MALB-56CV and the composition replacement gasket is MGKV-5. Gaskets are the part that goes on a rain-tight elbow after a few opens and closes, so it is worth carrying a spare MGKV-5 if the elbow gets opened for future pulls.
