Klein Tools 60466 Neck and Face Warming Half-Band, Black

The 60466 warming half-band is a sewn elastic-edged band, not a full balaclava, and it comes in one size that fits most. It covers head, neck and mouth, so it layers under a hard hat or over a hood without adding bulk at the crown: the band itself is about 0.3 inch thick, 12 inches long and 9.8 inches wide laid flat.

It's built for cold weather, not just wind. The bottom portion is 270-gram fleece for warmth around the neck, while the top portion is a double-layered moisture-wicking knit that pulls up over the face. So you get insulation where it sits against the neck and breathable fabric where you're exhaling.

Machine washable, so it can go through a normal laundry cycle rather than being treated as disposable. The edges are finished and non-fraying and the elastic edge is sewn in, so it won't unravel in the wash. There's also an anti-odor treatment on the knit top portion, which matters on a band that spends shifts over someone's mouth.

Black is the only color, but the band carries reflective accents, so there is some return under headlights or a work light. It is not a high-visibility garment on its own; if your site requires ANSI hi-vis apparel, this does not substitute for a vest or hi-vis outer layer.

A half-band like the Klein 60466 covers head, neck and mouth and pulls down off the face in a second when you need to talk or when you warm up, which is why crews moving in and out of a truck or attic prefer it. A full balaclava covers more of the head and face continuously but is harder to vent and sits under a hard hat differently. If your crew is cycling between cold outdoor work and enclosed spaces, the band is the easier one to manage.

Klein Tools 60466 is the part number, and the black half-band is the only configuration under it, so there is no size or color suffix to specify when ordering.
