Thomas & Betts BCG-M202-L Non Armoured Cable Gland

It's an M20 metric thread with a 1.5 mm pitch and 12 mm of thread length, so it lands in a standard 20 mm knockout or drilled/tapped M20 port. The 12 mm thread length is what decides whether you get enough engagement plus a locknut on a thick-walled enclosure wall.

Sealing is rated IP68 and NEMA 4, so it handles dust ingress, prolonged water immersion and hose-directed washdown when installed in a correspondingly rated enclosure. The gland only performs to the weakest link, so pair it with a NEMA 4 or better box and keep the cable OD inside the 6 to 12 mm clamping range or the seal will not compress properly.

No. This is a non-armoured cable gland, so it clamps and seals on the outer jacket of a round unarmored cable only. It has no armor clamping cone or ring, so it will not bond or terminate the armor on BX, MC or teck cable. For armored runs you need a dedicated armoured gland or an armored cable connector.

The body is brass with a nickel-plated finish, which is the usual combination where a bare steel fitting would rust. The plating gives it corrosion resistance for damp, coastal or light chemical exposure. It is metallic, natural colour, so expect a bright silver fitting rather than a painted one.

Straight body. The cable enters in line with the thread, so plan your cable bend radius outside the enclosure rather than expecting the fitting to turn the run. If you need the cable to leave the box parallel to the wall, you'll want an angled gland instead.

They're packed 10 to an inner box and 50 to the outer carton, which is worth knowing if you're standardizing M20 entries across a panel shop or a facility and want to buy in full cartons. Each gland weighs 0.02 lb.
