The RNCG-M205 seals cable with an outside diameter of 10 to 14 mm. Anything thinner than 10 mm won't compress enough to make the IP68 seal, and anything over 14 mm won't pass through the body. Measure the jacket OD, not the conductor bundle, before you pick the size.

It's an M20 metric thread with a 1.5 mm pitch and 10 mm of thread length, so it lands in a standard M20 x 1.5 tapped hole or a 20 mm clearance hole with a locknut. The 10 mm thread length is the figure to check against your gland plate or enclosure wall thickness, since a thick wall plus a gasket can eat most of the available engagement.

No. This is a non-armoured cable gland, so there's no armour cone or clamping ring to terminate braid or steel wire armour. It seals on the outer jacket only. For SWA or braided cable you need a proper armoured gland with an armour clamp, sized to both the armour and the bedding diameter.

It's built to EN 45545-2 hazard level HL3, which is the fire, smoke and toxicity standard for railway vehicle interiors and exteriors. The material is rated for R22 (interior small components) and R23 (exterior small components), so it covers both cabinet work inside the car and underframe or roof-mounted small parts. It's also halogen free, which is usually part of the same specification package.

The body is polyamide (nylon), rated IP68 when correctly installed and corrosion resistant, which is why it holds up in exterior rail positions where a brass or steel gland would need protection from road salt. Operating range is -40 to +100 degrees C. It also carries RoHS, WEEE and LVD compliance.

Rated -40 to +100 degrees C continuous, so Northern winter service and warm equipment cabinets are both inside the envelope. Treat +100 C as the limit at the gland body itself, not the ambient in the room, if it's mounted on a hot enclosure wall.
