Non-insulated, like the Sta-Kon C36, is what you want when the connection gets heat shrink or a boot added afterward, when the terminal sits in a protected enclosure, or when you need direct metal-to-metal contact at a ground lug. Pick an insulated ring instead where terminals are packed tightly on adjacent studs and you need the barrel covered without a secondary step.
3) Is a 600V terminal adequate for motor control and power distribution wiring?
The C36 carries a 600V rating, which covers standard 120/208, 277/480 and similar commercial and industrial circuits, including motor control centers and distribution panels. For medium-voltage work above 600V it is not the right connector.
4) Is the Sta-Kon C36 ring terminal UL listed?
