NUVO Lighting 60-255 1-Light, 6in, Ceiling Mount, Alabaster Ball

The 60-255 carries a damp location rating and is listed for indoor use, so a bathroom ceiling, covered laundry area, or similar damp interior spot is within its rating. It is not a wet location fixture, so keep it out of direct spray and off open exterior ceilings. Safety listing is cULus.

It takes a single A19 lamp with a medium E26 base, rated to 60W maximum at 120V. Bulbs are not included, so order lamps separately. An LED A19 with an E26 base works fine as long as you stay at or under the 60W rating.

Dimming on the 60-255 is lamp dependent. The fixture has no driver of its own, it is a line voltage socket at 120V, so whether it dims comes down to the A19 bulb you install and the dimmer it is paired with. An incandescent A19 dims on a standard dimmer; an LED A19 only dims if that lamp is marked dimmable and matched to the dimmer.

It is built as a utility-style fixture with a steel base and a single alabaster glass ball, 1.31 lbs total. That makes it a common choice for closets, hall ceilings, back stairs, and basements where a plain enclosed ball is all that is wanted. Because the glass is a single piece, a property manager replacing a few of these should expect to stock the glass-style match rather than mix in other shade shapes.

It is a ceiling mount fixture that attaches at the canopy to the outlet box in the ceiling. At 1.31 lbs it is well within what a standard ceiling-rated box will carry, so no extra support bracing is involved. Wiring is 120V line voltage.

No. The 60-255 is an incandescent-technology fixture, meaning it is a plain socket design with no integrated LED module or driver and no selectable color temperature. You get the light output you choose by picking the lamp, so an LED A19 in the E26 socket gives you LED performance without changing the fixture.

Polished brass hardware with an alabaster glass ball. If the other openings in the building are brushed nickel or bronze, this one will not match, so it suits spaces already trimmed in brass or utility areas where the trim color does not matter.

Yes, lead is the listed Prop 65 chemical for this fixture. It is also RoHS compliant. Institutional and government buyers who require Prop 65 disclosure on submittals should carry the lead notice through on their paperwork.
