NUVO Lighting 60-2868 Odeon, 1-Light, Wall Sconce with Satin White Glass

Yes. The Odeon 60-2868 carries a Damp location rating, so it can go in a bathroom or over a vanity where it may see humidity, and NUVO classifies it in the Vanity and Wall category. It is an indoor fixture only, so do not use it on an exterior wall or anywhere exposed to direct water.

It takes one A19 lamp with an E26 medium base, rated up to 100W at 120V. No bulb ships with the fixture, so order lamps separately. The fixture itself is incandescent-technology rated, and whether you can dim it depends entirely on the lamp you install, so if dimming matters pick a dimmable LED or incandescent A19 and match the dimmer to it.

Plan for 6 inches wide by 8 inches tall, with a 4.25 inch extension off the wall. That projection is what matters in a tight hallway or beside a mirror where a door swing or a traffic path runs close to the wall. The shade alone measures L:8.00 W:5.72 H:4.13 inches.

No. The Odeon 60-2868 is not ADA compliant, and its 4.25 inch extension exceeds the 4 inch maximum protrusion ADA allows for wall-mounted objects in a circulation path. For an ADA corridor you need a fixture with 4 inches or less of projection. In a guest room, dwelling unit, or over a vanity where it is not in a required path, the projection is not an issue.

It carries a cULus safety listing, which covers both US and Canadian installations, and the fixture is RoHS compliant. Note that NUVO declares lead under California Prop 65 for this fixture, which matters if your organization tracks Prop 65 disclosures on purchases.

One configuration: Brushed Nickel metal with a Satin White glass shade, model 60-2868. The body is glass and steel. Satin white diffuses the single A19 lamp rather than leaving it exposed, which is what you want facing a mirror. If you are standardizing finishes across a building, brushed nickel is the only option on this model.

No. It is a 120V fixture only. On a 277V branch circuit you need a fixture rated for that voltage or a step-down transformer, which is rarely worth it for a single decorative sconce. For 120V residential, multi-family, and hospitality circuits it drops right in.

The Odeon collection is styled as transitional, which is the middle ground between traditional and contemporary and the safest bet when you are replacing dated fixtures across a lot of units without committing to a strong look. Brushed nickel with satin white glass reads neutral next to most existing chrome or nickel plumbing trim. One lamp per fixture, so for a wide vanity you would run two sconces flanking the mirror rather than relying on a single unit.
