NUVO Lighting 60-5374 Empire, 1-Light, Wall Sconce, Old Bronze with Alabaster Glass

Yes for a bathroom wall or vanity location. The Empire 60-5374 carries a Damp location rating and is an indoor fixture, so it handles the humidity of a bath or powder room as long as it is not in a spot that gets directly wet, like inside a shower or tub enclosure. It is also catalogued for vanity and wall use at 10 inches wide by 9.63 inches high with a 5 inch extension off the wall.

You supply the bulb. The Empire 60-5374 takes one medium E26 base lamp in an A19 shape, rated up to 60W on 120V. Nothing is included in the box, so order lamps separately if you are outfitting a run of units.

No. The Empire 60-5374 is not ADA compliant and it projects 5 inches from the wall, which puts it outside the 4 inch maximum protrusion typically required for fixtures mounted in the ADA-protected zone along a circulation path. For corridors and stairwells in commercial or multi-family buildings, specify an ADA-rated sconce instead. It is fine in rooms, baths, and bedrooms where the protrusion rule does not apply.

Dimming depends entirely on the lamp you put in it. The fixture itself is an incandescent-technology sconce with no integrated driver, so a standard incandescent or dimmable LED A19 will dim on a compatible dimmer, and a non-dimmable LED will not. There is no CCT selection on this fixture either, so color temperature is whatever the bulb you choose provides.

It carries a cULus safety listing, which covers both US and Canadian installations, and it is RoHS compliant. Note the Prop 65 disclosure for lead, which matters if you are buying into California.

At 2.46 lbs it is a light fixture, well within what a standard wall-mounted junction box and strap will carry, so no blocking or special support is needed. It is a wall-mount fixture running on 120V line voltage with a steel base.

Allow at least 10 inches of clear width per fixture, plus your desired gap. The Empire 60-5374 measures 10 inches wide and 9.63 inches tall, and stands 5 inches off the finished wall. On a two-sconce vanity layout, that 5 inch projection is the number to watch where a door swing or a side wall is close.
