NUVO Lighting 60-6730 Spirefly, 6 Light, Pendant Fixture, Matte Black and Burnished Brass Finish

The Spirefly 6-light pendant mounts on rods, and the hardware in the box gives you a maximum overall height of 54.5 inches. You get two 6 inch rods and two 12 inch rods, so you can build down in increments and stop where the room needs it. Fixture body alone is 17.75 inches high and 17 inches wide. If you need to drop further than 54.5 inches, you'll need additional rods beyond what ships with it.

Bulbs are not included. It takes six E12 candelabra-base lamps, type B shape, 60W maximum each on 120V. Dimming depends entirely on the lamp you choose, so if you're putting it on a dimmer, buy dimmable candelabra lamps. The fixture itself is incandescent technology, not integrated LED, so LED candelabra retrofits are the usual choice for a rental or common-area install where you don't want to be back on a ladder.

No. The Spirefly is rated for dry locations only and listed as indoor. That rules out covered porches, breezeways, open patios, and shower or tub zones where damp or wet rating is required. Interior dining rooms, foyers, stairwells, corridors, and bedrooms are where it belongs. For a covered exterior entry you need a damp-rated fixture instead.

It carries a cULus safety listing, which covers both US and Canadian requirements, and it is RoHS compliant. That listing is what most inspectors and facility specs look for on a hospitality or multi-family interior fixture. Note the California Prop 65 disclosure on this fixture is for lead.

The Spirefly weighs 14.21 lbs. That is within the 50 lb limit of a properly secured outlet box rated for luminaire support, but a standard non-fixture-rated box or an old-work box held only by drywall is not acceptable. On a remodel, confirm the box is fixture rated and fastened to framing or a brace bar before hanging it.

No. It's a 120V fixture only. On a building with 277V branch circuits for lighting, you'd need to feed it from a 120V circuit instead, or select a fixture rated for the higher voltage.

Each Spirefly holds six lamps at 60W max, so figure 360W per fixture worst case with incandescent candelabra lamps. On a 15A, 120V circuit at an 80 percent continuous load that's roughly four fixtures. Switching to LED candelabra lamps drops the actual draw dramatically and lets you run far more on the same circuit.

It ships with 12 feet of wire, 144 inches, which is plenty for any rod configuration up to the 54.5 inch maximum drop. Excess wire gets trimmed or coiled in the canopy at install.

The base material is brass, finished in matte black with burnished brass accents. It's sold in that single finish combination, so if you're standardizing a corridor or a run of dining pendants, every unit matches. Style is transitional, which tends to sit well next to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
