NUVO Lighting 60-6778 Chantecleer, 1-Light, Semi-Flush Fixture, Polished Nickel Finish with Clear Glass

The Chantecleer 60-6778 is a damp location rated fixture, indoor use, cULus safety listed. That covers a bathroom ceiling outside the direct shower spray and other humid interior spaces. It is not rated for wet locations, so open exterior ceilings exposed to rain or an uncovered entry are out.

No lamp is packed with it. You supply one A19 bulb with a medium E26 base, rated up to 100W at 120V. Any standard LED or incandescent A19 in that base works, and since the fixture is incandescent technology with no integrated driver, dimming depends entirely on the lamp you choose and the dimmer on the wall.

The fixture weighs 6.48 lbs and mounts to the ceiling, well inside the 50 lb capacity of a standard listed outlet box. Supply leads are 6 inches, which is short, so leave yourself enough free conductor in the box for the splice and plan on making up the connections tight to the canopy.

One configuration only: polished nickel with clear glass, in the Chantecleer collection. It is not a CCT selectable fixture, there is no integrated LED module, so the color temperature is whatever A19 lamp you put in it. That also means you can standardize color across a building by buying one lamp for every fixture.

It carries a cULus safety listing for both US and Canadian use and is RoHS compliant. Under California Prop 65 it is flagged for lead. Electrical data for the submittal: 120V, 100W maximum, one medium base socket.

The Chantecleer 60-6778 uses clear glass, so the bulb is visible and you get sparkle plus a defined shadow line rather than a soft even wash. That works over a dining table or in an entry, and it pairs well with a filament style A19. Directly over a bed or a desk where someone looks up at the fixture, a frosted or opal shade is the kinder choice.

Body is steel with a polished nickel finish and a clear glass shade, single lamp. Steel construction holds up to handling better than cast resin, and with a plain E26 socket any maintenance tech can relamp it without a special bulb. Polished nickel does show fingerprints, so it is a better fit for units and common rooms than for a high-touch entry.
