Dimming depends entirely on the lamp you install, not the fixture. There is no driver in it, so a standard incandescent or halogen A19 will dim on an ordinary dimmer, while an LED A19 only dims if the lamp itself is marked dimmable and matched to the dimmer. There is no selectable color temperature.

It weighs 2.55 lbs, light enough to hang from a standard wall box with no extra blocking. The supply leads are 6 inches, which is short, so leave yourself enough conductor in the box to make up the splices comfortably rather than trimming the house wire flush.
