NUVO Lighting 60-7946 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) What bulbs do I need for the NUVO Yorktown 60-7946 4-light pendant, and are they included?
Bulbs are not included. The Yorktown pendant takes four E12 candelabra base lamps, candle shape, rated up to 60W each, so 240W total on a 120V circuit. Any dimming depends on the lamp you choose, so if you want it on a dimmer, buy dimmable candelabra lamps and match the dimmer to them.
    2) How low can the Yorktown 4-light pendant hang over a kitchen island?
The fixture body is 22 inches tall and 16 inches wide, and with the supplied rods it reaches a maximum overall height of 58.75 inches from the ceiling. Rods included are two 6 inch and two 12 inch, so you can stack combinations to set the drop and leave the rest out of the job. For a standard island you'd typically use a subset of those rods rather than all four.
    3) Can the NUVO Yorktown 60-7946 pendant be installed on a covered porch or in a bathroom?
No. It's rated for dry locations only and listed as an indoor fixture, so a covered porch, a shower area, or any spot that sees moisture or condensation is out. Use a damp or wet location rated pendant there instead.
    4) Is the Yorktown 60-7946 an LED fixture or does it use screw-in lamps?
It is an incandescent-technology fixture, meaning it is lamp-driven rather than integrated LED. There is no onboard driver and no color temperature selection. You can still run LED candelabra lamps in it if you want the energy savings, since the sockets are standard E12.
    5) What is the Yorktown pendant made of, and what does the clear glass look like when lit?
Steel body in a matte black finish with a single clear glass shade enclosing four candelabra lamps. Clear glass means the lamps are visible, so the bulb you pick is part of the look, a vintage-style candelabra filament lamp reads very differently here than a frosted one. Styling is traditional.
    6) Does the NUVO Yorktown pendant carry a California Prop 65 warning?
Yes. Lead is the listed Prop 65 chemical for this fixture. If you're specifying for a California project or a facility that tracks Prop 65 disclosures, that notice needs to travel with the submittal.
    7) Is the 60-7946 available in any finish besides matte black?
Matte black with clear glass is the configuration under part number 60-7946. Other finishes in the Yorktown collection carry their own NUVO part numbers, so order by the number that matches the finish you want rather than expecting a finish option on this one.
