NUVO Lighting 62-1137 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) Can the NUVO 62-1137 LED sconce be mounted for uplight or downlight?
Yes. The 62-1137 is a small up or down wall sconce, so the same fixture can be installed throwing light up the wall or washing down it depending on how you orient it at the box. It is a wall-mount fixture only, with a 3.43 inch extension off the wall.
    2) Is the NUVO 62-1137 sconce rated for exposed outdoor walls and rain?
It is an outdoor fixture with a Wet location rating, so it can go on an unprotected exterior wall exposed to rain, not just a covered soffit or entry. It is cULus safety listed and the housing is die-cast aluminum.
    3) Will this NUVO LED sconce run on a 277 volt commercial circuit?
Yes. The 62-1137 is a 120V/277V fixture, so it works on standard 120V residential/light commercial wiring and on 277V building circuits without a separate SKU. Draw is 10W.
    4) Can the NUVO 62-1137 be put on a dimmer?
No. The 62-1137 is listed as non-dimmable, so pair it with a standard on/off switch, photocell, or timer control rather than a dimmer. The LED is integrated, so there is no lamp to swap for a dimmable one.
    5) Is the NUVO 62-1137 sconce ADA compliant for a corridor or egress path?
Yes, it is listed ADA compliant, and the 3.43 inch extension keeps it inside the 4 inch projection limit that governs wall-mounted objects in a circulation path. Overall size is 4.53 wide by 6.77 high with a 2.56 inch diameter.
    6) Does the bulb in this NUVO sconce get replaced when it burns out?
There is no replaceable lamp. The LED is integrated into the fixture and rated for an average 50,000 hours, so maintenance is fixture replacement rather than relamping. For an MRO program that means fewer service calls but no lamp stock to carry.
    7) How much light does the 10W NUVO 62-1137 sconce actually put out?
900 lumens from 10 watts, with a 90 CRI output for accurate color rendering on brick, stone, and signage. That is enough for an entry, stair landing, or wall accent rather than broad area lighting.
    8) Can I pick the color temperature on the NUVO 62-1137?
No, it is not CCT selectable, so there is no field switch for 3000K/4000K/5000K. If you are standardizing color across a building facade, every unit of this model will match, but you cannot tune one to blend with an older fixture of a different temperature.
    9) Is the NUVO 62-1137 light enough for a single installer on a ladder?
At 1.72 lbs the fixture is a one-hand lift, so it mounts to a standard exterior wall box without extra bracing. The die-cast aluminum body carries that weight on a small 2.56 inch diameter footprint.
    10) What finish does the NUVO 62-1137 sconce come in?
White is the finish offered on the 62-1137, matched to its utility architectural wall styling. If the other fixtures on the building are bronze or black, this one will not match them.
    11) Does the NUVO 62-1137 carry a California Prop 65 warning?
Yes. Lead is the listed Prop 65 chemical for this fixture. It is also RoHS compliant, which matters for institutional and government procurement specs.
