NUVO Lighting 62-1612 Ledges, 6W LED, Medium Wall Lantern, Matte Black with Clear Seeded Glass

Yes. The Ledges 62-1612 medium wall lantern carries a Wet location rating and is built for outdoor use, so it can go on an open wall, an uncovered entry, or a stair landing that takes direct rain. Safety listing is cETLus. Housing is aluminum with glass, which is what lets it sit in weather.

The LED is integrated, so there is no socket and no bulb to change. Nothing to stock as a spare lamp, but when the LED array reaches end of life the fixture is replaced rather than relamped. Rated average life is 30,000 hours. For a facility that standardizes on replaceable lamps, this is not the fixture to specify.

Output is 550 lumens from 6W, which reads as accent and doorway-identification light rather than area lighting. It will light a door, a unit number, and a step or two. For a parking area or a long walkway you want a wall pack or multiple fixtures spaced down the path. Color rendering is 90+ CRI, so brick, paint, and wood colors hold up well at night.

No, the 62-1612 is not ADA compliant, and its 6.38 inch extension is the reason to pay attention: in a path of travel where protruding objects are regulated, this is the wrong fixture. Use it on an entry wall outside the path of travel, or specify an ADA-compliant low-projection sconce for corridors and egress routes.

It's a dimmable 120V fixture at 6W. Because the driver is integrated and the draw is low, a very small load on a long run of fixtures can sit below the minimum load of some dimmers, so size the dimmer for the total connected wattage of all the lanterns on that circuit, not for one.

No. The Ledges 62-1612 is not CCT selectable, so the color temperature is fixed at the factory setting. If you are adding fixtures to a building where the existing lanterns were set on a selectable switch, match by ordering the same model rather than assuming you can dial this one in on site.

One configuration: matte black with clear seeded glass, in the Ledges collection. The seeded glass gives a textured, slightly broken light pattern rather than a clean clear view of the diode. If you are filling in on a building already running Ledges in matte black, this is the matching medium wall lantern.

Wall mount only, weighing 5.41 lbs. At that weight a standard weatherproof outlet box set in the wall carries it without blocking or extra bracing. Siding installs still want a mounting block to give the canopy a flat, sealed bearing surface.

Yes. Lead is the listed Prop 65 chemical for this fixture, which matters if you are submitting product data for a California project or a public agency job. It is also RoHS compliant.
