NUVO Lighting 62-1913 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) Can the NUVO 62-1913 Blink Performer be used in a shower or over a bathtub?
It carries a Wet location rating, so it can go in a shower surround or above a tub where the fixture gets direct water contact. Note the fixture itself is catalogued for indoor use, so keep it under cover rather than on an open exterior soffit.
    2) Will a 7 inch Blink Performer LED fit in a low-clearance hallway or closet ceiling?
Yes. The round fixture is 7 inches in diameter and projects only 0.67 inches off the ceiling, so it clears closet shelving and low soffits that a dome fixture would not. It surface mounts to the ceiling, so no recessed can or plenum depth is needed.
    3) How do I set the color temperature on the NUVO Blink Performer, and do I have to order a specific Kelvin?
One part number covers all five color temperatures. The 62-1913 is CCT selectable on the fixture, so you pick the output at install instead of stocking separate Kelvin SKUs. For property managers standardizing a building, that means one item on the shelf matches warm corridors and cooler back-of-house areas alike.
    4) Can you change the bulb in the Blink Performer when it burns out?
No. The LED is integrated into the fixture, with no replaceable lamp or socket. The light engine is rated for 50,000 hours, and at end of life the whole fixture is swapped. Spec it where that lifecycle works for your maintenance plan.
    5) How much light does a 10W Blink Performer put out compared to an old incandescent flush mount?
Output runs 850 to 930 lumens depending on the color temperature selected, drawing 10 watts at 120V. That is roughly the light of a 60W incandescent at about a sixth of the load, which is why these get specified in bulk for corridor and closet retrofits.
    6) Is the NUVO 62-1913 dimmable, and can I put it on an existing dimmer?
The fixture is dimmable and runs on 120V line voltage. The LED is integrated rather than lamped, so dimming performance depends on pairing with a dimmer rated for LED loads, not an older incandescent-only rheostat.
    7) Is 90 CRI good enough for a hotel bathroom or healthcare corridor?
The Blink Performer delivers 90 CRI, which is the threshold most hospitality and healthcare specs call out for accurate skin tone and finish rendering. Combined with the selectable color temperature, it lets one fixture satisfy both guest-area warmth and task-area neutrality.
    8) Is the Blink Performer housing metal or plastic, and how heavy is it?
The base is die-cast aluminum, and the whole fixture weighs 0.91 lbs. Light enough that a standard ceiling box and strap carry it without extra bracing, and the aluminum body helps sink heat from the LED.
    9) What finish does the 7 inch Blink Performer come in?
Brushed nickel, with an edge-lit lens in a round utility profile. It is the only finish offered on the 62-1913; the trim tone pairs with brushed nickel bath and door hardware already common in multi-family units.
