NUVO Lighting 62-1915 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) Can the NUVO Blink Performer 62-1915 be used in a shower or over a tub?
The 62-1915 Blink Performer carries a Wet location rating, so damp bathroom ceilings and shower surrounds are within its rating. It is classified as an indoor fixture, so use it inside the building envelope rather than on an open soffit or exterior porch.
    2) How does the 5 CCT selectable feature work on the NUVO 62-1915, and can I standardize color across a building with it?
The Blink Performer 62-1915 is CCT selectable, so one part number covers five color temperatures chosen at the fixture instead of stocking a separate SKU per color. For a property manager that means one item in inventory for corridors, closets, baths and laundry rooms, with the color set to match whatever is already installed on adjacent openings. CRI is 90, so colors and finishes read accurately under it.
    3) How much ceiling clearance does the 7 inch Blink Performer need?
Very little. The 62-1915 measures 7.00 inches long by 7 inches wide with a height of only 0.67 inch, so it sits essentially flat to the ceiling. That low profile is what makes it workable in low-headroom spots like closets, stairwells, basements and laundry areas where a semi-flush drum would be in the way. Fixture weight is 1.08 lbs.
    4) Do I need to order lamps separately for the NUVO 62-1915?
No separate lamps. The Blink Performer uses an integrated LED board rather than a socket, so there is no bulb base to stock and nothing to relamp. Average rated life is 50,000 hours; at end of life the fixture is replaced, not re-lamped.
    5) Is the NUVO Blink Performer 62-1915 dimmable, and what voltage does it run on?
It is dimmable and runs on 120V line voltage, drawing 10W. That makes it a drop-in for standard residential and light commercial 120V circuits where an existing dimmer is already on the wall.
    6) How much light does a 10W 7 inch Blink Performer put out, and is one enough for a small room?
Output is 850 to 900 lumens from 10 watts, which is roughly in the range of a 60W incandescent and generally enough for a single bath, closet, hall or entry of modest size. For larger rooms or long corridors, plan on multiple fixtures spaced out rather than one.
    7) How is the Blink Performer mounted, and what is the housing made of?
It is a ceiling-mount flush fixture with a die-cast aluminum base, mounted directly to the ceiling box rather than recessed into the plenum. That makes it a common swap on concrete ceilings or anywhere there is no space above the deck for a can.
