NUVO Lighting 65-622 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) What does the NUVO 65-622 emergency backup battery actually do during a power outage?
The 65-622 is an add-on emergency battery pack for NUVO LED round canopy light fixtures. When normal power drops, it drives the fixture for 90 minutes of run time at a 15W output, which is the duration most egress lighting codes are written around. It is not a standalone light, it only works paired with a compatible LED round canopy fixture.
    2) Will the NUVO 65-622 battery pack work with any LED canopy light, or only round canopy fixtures?
It is built as an add-on for LED round canopy light fixtures. If you are working with square canopy, wall pack, or high bay fixtures, this is not the right battery pack for that housing.
    3) I need 90 minute emergency egress lighting in a parking canopy. Can I add that to fixtures I already have instead of replacing them?
That is exactly what the 65-622 is for. Rather than swapping out round canopy LED fixtures for emergency-rated models, the pack adds on to the fixture and supplies 15W for 90 minutes when power fails. It does require that the fixture be an LED round canopy type.
    4) How much room do I need above the canopy for the 65-622 battery housing?
The housing measures 8.66 x 5.91 x 2.11 inches and weighs 1.4 lbs. The 2.11 inch dimension is the limiting one in a tight parking garage or soffit mount, so check your plenum or recess depth before you commit. At under a pound and a half it adds little load to the fixture mounting.
    5) What is the correct part number to order for the NUVO black canopy emergency battery?
Order NUVO Lighting 65-622, also written 65/622 in NUVO's own numbering. One finish, black, and a single configuration, so there are no suffixes to specify.
    6) Does the 65-622 battery pack come in a finish that matches a black canopy fixture?
Black is the finish it ships in, so it blends with black canopy housings. There is no other finish option on the 65-622.
    7) Is the NUVO 65-622 emergency battery subject to a California Prop 65 warning?
Yes. The 65-622 is flagged for lead under California Proposition 65. Facilities and government buyers who require Prop 65 disclosure in their submittal packages should carry that forward with the product data.
How fast can I get the NUVO Lighting 65-622 delivered?
