It ships with a locking hanging hook and a 6 foot whip, with a 72 inch wire length. So you hang it from the hook and land the whip, rather than wiring directly into the fixture body. You still supply the support point, chain, or threaded rod and the junction box or cord cap the whip terminates into.

The fixture carries a wet location rating, so moisture exposure is acceptable, but it is designated for indoor use. Use it in damp or wet interior spaces such as wash areas, parking structures under cover, and unconditioned warehouses, not as an exterior area light.

Dimming is supported, so it can go on a 0-10V control or occupancy and daylight harvesting scheme. Color temperature is fixed, though, at 5000K. There is no CCT selectable switch, so if you need 4000K in the same space you have to order a different fixture.

Each unit draws 100 watts and delivers 14,400 lumens at 5000K with 80 CRI. In the field that output is the usual one-for-one swap for a 400W metal halide or a 4-lamp to 6-lamp T5HO high bay, so layouts drawn for those fixtures generally translate straight across on spacing.

The LED is integrated, not a lamp in a socket, so there is nothing to relamp. Plan on the fixture as the maintenance unit. It is rated 50,000 average hours, which at 12 hours a day of run time is roughly 11 years before expected lumen depreciation becomes a factor.

It is cULus safety listed, which covers both US and Canadian installations, and it is RoHS compliant. Note the California Prop 65 disclosure for lead, which matters if you are submitting for a California public project.

Round UFO fixtures like this one put a symmetrical pool of light under a single point, which suits open warehouse bays, gyms, shops, and manufacturing floors on a regular grid. Linear high bays are the better pick over narrow aisle racking, where you want the beam stretched along the aisle rather than spread in a circle. The die-cast aluminum housing here doubles as the heat sink, which is why these mount in unconditioned space without a separate fixture enclosure.

Black is the finish on 65-782R2, part number 65/782R2. Finish is cosmetic on a UFO high bay since the housing is above the light-emitting face, so the 14,400 lumen output is unaffected. Black tends to be specified where owners want the ceiling plane to visually disappear, retail and hospitality back-of-house especially.
