NUVO Lighting SF76-644 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size is the NUVO SF76-644 mounting post?
The SF76-644 post is 2 inches in diameter and 18 inches tall, weighing 1.2 lbs. Those two numbers are what decide fit: the fixture you are mounting has to accept a 2 inch diameter post, and 18 inches is the full height you get, so it is a short pedestal-style post rather than a full lamp post.
2) Can the NUVO SF76-644 post be used outdoors in the rain?
Yes. It is rated for outdoor use and carries a Wet location rating, so direct rain exposure is within spec. It is also cULus safety listed.
3) Is the SF76-644 mounting post metal or plastic?
PVC, not metal. That matters two ways on a job: it will not rust or corrode in a wet coastal or irrigation-spray location, but at 1.2 lbs it has none of the mass of a cast aluminum post, so anchoring it properly at the base is on you. The Antique Verdigris finish is a painted verdigris look over the PVC body.
4) Is this a complete light post or just the mounting post?
Just the post. SF76-644 is a mounting post accessory, 2 inches in diameter and 18 inches high, PVC bodied. No fixture, lamp, wiring, or base anchor is part of it, so plan the order to include the outdoor fixture itself and whatever ground or deck mount you intend to use.
5) What finish does NUVO SF76-644 come in, and will it match other verdigris outdoor fixtures?
Antique Verdigris is the only finish offered on SF76-644. If you are standardizing a walkway or entry on a verdigris family of NUVO outdoor fixtures, this is the post ordered to match that finish; for any other finish you need a different post part number.
6) Does the NUVO SF76-644 post have a Prop 65 warning?
Yes. Lead is the listed California Proposition 65 chemical for SF76-644. Institutional and government buyers who screen on Prop 65 should flag it in submittals before specifying.
