NUVO Lighting SF76-690 1-Light, 15in, Pendant, Frosted Prismatic Dome, Old Bronze Finish

No. The SF76-690 is rated for dry locations and indoor use only, so it is not suitable for a covered porch, a damp bath area, or anywhere exposed to moisture. Use it in conditioned interior spaces such as hallways, kitchens, dining rooms, and lobbies. For a covered exterior soffit you need a fixture carrying a damp or wet location rating.

It takes a single A19 lamp with an E26 medium screw base, rated to 100W maximum at 120V. No bulb is included, so order lamps separately. A standard 800 to 1600 lumen LED A19 in an E26 base drops right in as long as it is at or below the 100W equivalent rating.

The SF76-690 ships with the fixture, one 36 inch chain, and 12 feet of wire. You supply the bulb, and you need a ceiling outlet box rated for the load. The fixture weighs 14.19 lbs, so it must land on a box or bar hanger listed for luminaire support at that weight, not a standard old work plastic box. Mounting is chain hung from the ceiling.

The shade is a 15 inch frosted prismatic dome in ribbed frosted glass, single glass piece on a metal frame with an Old Bronze finish. Frosted ribbed glass diffuses the lamp rather than exposing it, so you get soft downward light and a lit shade instead of a hot filament point. Style is traditional, which is why it reads well in older lobbies, stairwells, and hospitality corridors where an exposed bulb fixture would look out of place.

It is a chain hung ceiling pendant, so it will follow a slope because the chain hangs plumb on its own, but the canopy must sit on a flat ceiling plane or use a sloped ceiling adapter appropriate to the pitch. It will not convert to a flush or semi flush mount, there is no close to ceiling option on this fixture, the shortest drop is limited by removing chain links.
