The SF77-823 carries a damp location rating and is classified as an indoor fixture, so a bathroom, laundry room, or enclosed covered entry is within its rating. Do not put it anywhere it takes direct rain or spray, like an open porch soffit or an unroofed breezeway. Those openings need a wet-rated fixture. It is cULus safety listed at 120V.

Bulbs are not included. You need two A19 lamps with an E26 medium base, rated 60W maximum each. Any standard-shape LED A19 with a medium screw base drops straight in, which is what most property managers buy now for the lower wattage draw. Order the lamps separately, one fixture takes two.

Dimming on the SF77-823 is lamp dependent. There is no driver or integrated LED in the fixture, it is a straight incandescent-technology socket housing, so whether it dims comes down to the two A19 medium-base lamps you install. Standard incandescent A19 lamps dim on a normal wall dimmer. If you go LED, you need lamps specifically marked dimmable and a dimmer compatible with them, or you will get flicker and drop-out at the low end.

The SF77-823 is a close-to-ceiling flush mount, a white round glass diffuser sitting tight against the ceiling with a 4.75 inch profile. That is what you want in a hallway, stair landing, closet, or any low-ceiling apartment room where a semi-flush stem or a pendant would be in the way. Semi-flush fixtures hang lower on a short stem and read as more decorative, which suits a dining area or an entry with height, not a corridor.

There is no CCT selectable switch on the SF77-823. The fixture holds two A19 medium-base lamps and nothing else, so the color temperature is entirely whatever lamps you buy. That is actually convenient on a fleet: if a building is standardized on 3000K, you buy 3000K A19s and every fixture matches without touching the hardware.

The California Prop 65 disclosure on this fixture names lead. That is normal for a steel-bodied fixture with brass or nickel-plated lamp sockets and solder in the wiring, and it is a labeling requirement in California rather than a use restriction. The fixture is RoHS compliant. Facilities buyers in California should carry the warning through on their own documentation.

White is the only finish this fixture is built in, MPN SF77/823, with a white round glass diffuser on a white-finished steel body. If a job needs a brushed nickel or bronze trim ring to match other openings, that is a different NUVO model number, not an option on this one.
