1) Will the NUVO TR132 track section work outdoors or in a covered patio?
No. The TR132 4-foot track is rated for dry locations only, so it should stay indoors. Covered porches, patios, bathrooms with shower exposure, and anywhere subject to moisture need a damp- or wet-location rated track system instead.
2) What voltage is the NUVO TR132 track run and can it be used on a standard circuit?
It's a 120V track section, so it runs on a standard line-voltage branch circuit. No transformer or driver is needed, unlike low-voltage monorail systems. Heads and connectors used with it must also be 120V line-voltage track components.
3) What else do I need to order with a NUVO TR132 track section to finish the run?
The TR132 is bare 4-foot track only. A working run also needs a power feed (either a live end connector or a floating canopy feed), end caps on the terminations, mounting hardware or clips for the ceiling, a coupler for every joint between sections, and the track heads themselves. For longer runs, order multiples of the 4-foot section and a straight connector for each joint.
4) How much ceiling clearance does the NUVO TR132 track take up?
The extrusion is 0.63 inch high and 1.31 inches wide over a 48 inch length, so it sits just over half an inch below the ceiling plane before you add a head. That matters on tight soffits, in coffers, or where you're surface mounting against crown trim. At 1.14 lbs per 4-foot section, it's light enough to mount to standard ceiling anchors.
5) Can I mix the Russet Bronze TR132 track with connectors and heads in a different finish?
Yes, as far as fit goes. Most NUVO track accessories and parts are interchangeable between finishes, so a connector or feed in white or black will mate to the Russet Bronze 4-foot section. Appearance is the only tradeoff, which is why most jobs order the couplers and end caps in the same Russet Bronze.
6) Does the NUVO TR132 track have a Prop 65 warning I need to disclose on a California job?
Yes. The 4-foot track section is identified as containing lead under California Proposition 65, so a California job needs that warning passed through to the end customer or building owner.
