Omnia 7035/N Modern Rectangular Pocket Door Lock with Mortise Edge Pull, Passage Function

The Omnia 7035/N is a solid brass pocket door lockset in the Modern collection, sized for residential interior pocket doors. Passage function means both flush cups are blank and non-locking, allowing free movement through the door. The mortise body installs into the door edge; the rectangular flush cups sit flush in the face of the door panel.

  • Passage Function: Dual blank flush cups with non-locking operation for interior pocket doors requiring unrestricted access.
  • Mortise Edge Pull: Mortise-style lockbody installs into the door edge for a clean, flush appearance on both faces.
  • Modern Rectangular Trim: Contemporary rectangular profile suits modern and transitional architectural styles.
  • Schlage "C" Keyway: Solid brass cylinder is compatible with Schlage "C" keyway; includes two OMNIA nickel silver keys.
  • Door Thickness Compatibility: Standard fit for 1-3/4" doors, adjustable for 1-3/8" doors.

Omnia 7035/N.26D – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What comes in the box with the Omnia 7035/N, and do I need to buy anything else?
The set is complete for the door itself: mortise lockbody, a pair of blank flushcups (edge pull side and both faces), and all mounting screws. Nothing further is needed for a pocket door that already has a track and frame. What is not included is the pocket frame or track. If you are building the opening from scratch, ZenSupply carries the Orca Hardware PK1200 pocket door frame kit and the NGP SLAL250PD72 72 inch aluminum pocket door track rated to 250 pounds.
2) Can I swap the Omnia 7035/N into an existing 2-1/2 inch backset pocket door prep?
If the existing mortise pocket is cut to a 2-1/2 inch backset and the slab is 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches, the 7035/N drops into that prep. Where it will not go straight in is a 2-3/8 inch backset prep, which is what the Pamex PF2 round sliding door lock uses, so check the backset on what you are pulling out before ordering. Flushcup footprint is rectangular, so if the old plate was round you will see the outline of the previous cutout.
3) What is the closest passage-function alternative to the Omnia 7035/N pocket door lock?
The Weslock 0527 is a rectangular passage pocket door lock with no locking, and it covers doors from 1-3/8 inch to 2 inch thick. The Omnia 7035/N is also a passage function unit for 1-3/8 inch to 1-3/4 inch doors with a 2-1/2 inch backset, so the Weslock reaches thicker doors while the Omnia holds the tighter range. Both give you non-locking operation for an interior pocket door.
4) I need a pocket door lock that actually locks for a bathroom - what do I order instead of the Omnia 7035/N?
The 7035/N is passage function with dual blank flushcups, which is non-locking by design. For a bath or bedroom pocket door, the Weslock 0577 is a rectangular privacy pocket door lock with adjustable backset and full lip strike covering 1-3/8 inch to 2 inch doors, and the Deltana SDL25 is a 2-1/2 inch by 2-3/4 inch privacy pocket door lock. Both give the privacy/bed/bath function the Omnia does not.
5) I need a keyed pocket door lock, not passage - what is the equivalent in a modern rectangular style?
The Omnia 7035/N is passage function with blank flushcups on both faces. For a keyed modern rectangular mortise lock, the Emtek 2153 is a narrow modern rectangular pocket door mortise lock at 2 inch by 7-1/4 inch and is keyed. The Emtek #8 is a keyed-style classic arched brass pocket door mortise lock at 2-7/8 inch by 7-5/8 inch if the trim shape can change.
6) What finishes does the Omnia 7035/N pocket door lock come in?
Nine finishes, all on solid brass: polished brass, polished brass unlacquered, satin brass, antique brass, polished nickel plated, satin nickel plated, polished chrome plated, satin chrome plated, and black oil-rubbed. In Omnia's US codes those run US3, US3A, US4, US5, US10B, US14, US15, US26 and US26D, so if the rest of the doors in the house are specified by US number you can match the pull to the levers exactly. Polished brass unlacquered (US3A) will patina over time rather than staying bright.
7) Why does a passage pocket door lock have a Schlage C keyway cylinder?
The 7035/N includes a solid brass cylinder machined from bar stock cut to the Schlage "C" keyway, plus two Omnia nickel silver keys, so the edge pull hardware can be brought into a house key system that is already on Schlage C. Because the function is passage, the cylinder does not secure the pocket door itself. If you want the pocket door to actually lock, this is not the set to order.
8) Is the Omnia 7035/N rated for commercial or multi-family use?
Omnia classes the 7035/N as residential hardware, and the solid brass construction is aimed at houses and high-end interiors rather than high-traffic commercial openings. For a commercial pocket door, look at the Rockwood 891 pocket door privacy latch instead, which is a commercial-line product.
9) How does the Omnia 7035/N compare to the Emtek 2153 narrow modern rectangular pocket door lock?
Both are modern rectangular mortise pocket door hardware, but they answer different needs. The 7035/N is passage, with blank cups and no locking. The Emtek 2153 is a keyed narrow modern rectangular pocket door mortise lock with a 2 x 7-1/4 inch trim footprint, so it is the one to specify when the pocket door needs to be keyed and when the door stile suits a taller, narrower plate. If you want passage from Emtek instead, the 2101 is their passage pocket door lock at 2-3/8 x 3-1/8 inches.
10) Does the Omnia 7035/N have handing, and does it matter which side of the pocket door I install it on?
No handing to specify. The 7035/N is symmetrical passage hardware: a mortise edge pull on the leading edge and identical blank flushcups on both faces of the slab, so a left-hand and a right-hand pocket door take the same part. Order by finish only.
11) Is there a rounded pocket door lock instead of the rectangular Omnia 7035/N?
The 7035/N carries modern rectangular trim. If a round trim matches the rest of the doors better, the Weslock 0627 is a round passage pocket door lock with adjustable backset and full lip strike, and the Pamex PF2 is a round sliding door lock with a 2-3/8 inch backset. For privacy in round trim, the Orca Hardware PDLRD is a privacy function round pocket door lock.
12) What is the difference between the Omnia 7035/N and the Emtek 2101 passage pocket door lock?
Both are passage function pocket door locks. The Emtek 2101 uses a 2-3/8 inch by 3-1/8 inch trim plate, while the Omnia 7035/N is a solid brass mortise lock with a 2-1/2 inch backset, Schlage C keyway cylinder, and a mortise edge pull, offered in nine finishes from black oil-rubbed through polished brass unlacquered. The Emtek's privacy counterpart in the same plate size is the 2102.
13) What is a simpler passage pocket door lock than the Omnia 7035/N for a rental turn?
The Deltana SDP25 is a passage/hall/closet pocket door lock at 2-1/2 inch by 2-3/4 inch, a compact plate for a straightforward non-locking interior door. The Omnia 7035/N brings solid brass bar stock construction, a Schlage C keyway cylinder with two nickel silver keys, and nine finishes including satin nickel plated and black oil-rubbed, which matters when the hardware has to match a set already on site.
14) Is the Rockwood 891 pocket door privacy latch a substitute for the Omnia 7035/N?
They solve different problems. The Rockwood 891 is a privacy latch, so it locks the door from inside. The Omnia 7035/N is a passage function solid brass mortise lock with a Schlage C keyway cylinder and a mortise edge pull, intended for interior pocket doors that need easy access without a locking restriction. Choose the 891 where the room needs to be secured and the 7035/N where it does not.
15) For a square-trim privacy pocket door lock to pair with modern rectangular passage hardware, what works?
The Orca Hardware PDLSQ is a privacy function square pocket door lock, which keeps a squared trim line alongside the modern rectangular styling of the Omnia 7035/N on the passage doors. The Orca PDLRD is the round-trim version of the same privacy lock if the openings call for a round plate instead.
