Pro-Lok - 12″ Interlocking Latch Protector

The Pro-Lok ELP-110 12-inch interlocking latch protector is built for in-opening doors, so an out-swinging opening needs a different plate. Don-Jo offers several out-swing latch protectors: the LP-307 at 2-5/8 inches by 7 inches in 12-gauge steel for aluminum storefront entrance doors, the GLP-307 at 2-5/8 inches by 7 inches for aluminum entrance doors, and the NELP-207 at 3-1/2 inches by 6-1/2 inches in 12-gauge steel. All three mount on the pull side of an out-swinging door to cover the exposed latch.

The Pro-Lok ELP-110 is a 12-inch by 5/8-inch steel interlocking protector for in-opening doors, sized to resist spreading the door from the frame on residential, commercial and industrial openings. For aluminum storefront entrances specifically, the Don-Jo LP-307 is built for that application at 2-5/8 inches by 7 inches in 12-gauge steel on out-swinging doors, and the Don-Jo GLP-307 covers aluminum entrance doors in the same 2-5/8 inch by 7 inch footprint. Glass front installers working narrow stile aluminum generally look at the storefront-specific plates rather than a 12-inch interlocking design.

The interlocking design on the Pro-Lok 12 inch protector does two jobs. It covers the gap so tools can't reach the latch, and because the plate interlocks with the frame side it also resists spreading attacks, where someone pries the door away from the frame to clear the bolt. A plain flat guard only blocks the gap.
