Pro-Lok K265 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Should I buy the retail card pack or the multi-card of Pro-Lok snap clips?
Two pack formats are offered. The retail version is 5 cards with 1 keychain per card, which is what a locksmith shop or hardware counter wants for peg hook display and individual resale. The multi-card holds 12 keychains on a single card, which is the better buy for an in-house maintenance or MRO crew tagging out a batch of key sets at once.
2) What size key ring comes on the Pro-Lok anodized snap clip?
Each Pro-Lok anodized snap clip comes with a 1 inch split key ring attached, so it holds a standard key set straight out of the package. No separate ring needs to be ordered.
3) Do the Pro-Lok snap clip keychains swivel so keys sit flat on a belt?
The bottom loop is a 360 degree swivel, which lets the key ring rotate instead of twisting the clip. Keys lie flat against a belt loop or purse strap rather than bunching up.
4) What colors do the Pro-Lok anodized snap clips come in, and can I use them to separate key sets?
They ship as an assortment of red, blue, green and purple anodized aluminum. Property managers and maintenance crews use the colors to keep key sets apart, one color per building, per floor, or per trade.
5) Is the Pro-Lok snap clip a bolt snap or a spring clip?
It is a bolt snap style clip in anodized aluminum. The gate slides open along the body rather than pivoting like a spring hook, so keys stay captive on a belt loop or strap until you deliberately open it.
