Pro-Lok LT422 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) How many tags come in the Pro-Lok LT422 blank white key tag pack?
Each LT422 set contains 96 blank white tags. They ship unprinted so you write your own numbers or codes for specialty keys, which is what you want when the key set doesn't follow a standard cross-reference.
2) What's the difference between Pro-Lok LT422, LT420, LT421 and LT423 key tags?
LT422 is the blank white set, 96 tags you number yourself. LT420 is the domestic Key Tag System and LT421 is the automotive Key Tag System, which comes with the cross reference numbers already printed. LT423 is blank colored tags you fill in yourself. Pick a printed system if you're keying to published cross references, and the blanks if you're running your own numbering.
3) Do these blank tags work with Pro-Lok colored key hooks and pegboard?
Yes. The blank white tags are made to hang on a pegboard alongside Pro-Lok colored Key Hooks, which is how shops color-code sections of the board and still label each individual key.
4) I run a key board for an apartment portfolio and need to label unit keys that no printed system covers. Are these the right tags?
That's exactly the case for the LT422 blanks. A printed system like the automotive LT421 only helps if your keys match published cross reference numbers. For unit, suite, or equipment keys you write your own identifier, and the 96-tag white blank set gives you room to do a mid-size board in one buy.
5) Can I mix white blank tags with colored ones on the same board?
Yes, and it's a common setup. LT422 gives you white blanks and LT423 gives you the same fill-in-yourself tags in colors, so you can use white for general keys and color for a department, building, or key class on the same pegboard.
