Pro-Lok AO-64 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What does the Pro-Lok Mini Wedge Duo actually do on a vehicle lockout?
It's a wedge used to open a small gap at the top of a car door so a long reach tool can be fed into the vehicle. The crown on the wedge is shaped to make expanding even tight-fitting doors easier, giving you room to maneuver the opening tool once it's inside.
2) Does the Mini Wedge Duo open the car by itself, or do I still need a long reach tool?
The wedge on its own won't open the vehicle. It's a long reach tool accessory: it creates and holds the gap, and you still need a reach tool or slide lock tool to work the lock button, handle, or unlock control inside.
3) Is the Pro-Lok Mini Wedge Duo limited to certain car makes or model years?
No. The Mini Wedge Duo is a general application wedge intended for use on all vehicles, so a locksmith running a mixed fleet or roadside call doesn't need a make-specific version.
4) Is there more than one version of the Pro-Lok Mini Wedge Duo to choose from?
There's a single configuration, model AO-64. No size, finish, or handing choice to specify when ordering.
