You order the ATS separately and size it to the service, and the generator is rated 200 A at 120/240 volts three phase, so the switch and feeders need to match that. Budget for the switch, conduit, and control wiring as a separate line on the job.

The enclosure measures 97 inches long, 38 inches wide and 49 inches high, so a pad sized to that footprint plus working clearance is the starting point. Weight is the bigger design driver: the unit comes in at 1,912 lbs, so the pad and any crane or forklift pick have to carry that. Generac also allows this Protector unit to sit as close as 18 inches from a structure, which is what makes it workable on tight lot lines.

It is a three phase unit at 120/240 volts, rated 200 A. That matters: a 120/240 three phase (high-leg delta) output is not the same as residential single phase, so confirm your service and transfer switch are three phase before specifying it. If the building is single phase 120/240, this is the wrong configuration and you want the single phase Protector model instead.

Either one. The RG06045JNAC is set up for liquid propane or natural gas, so the fuel decision is made at install based on what is at the site. The SCAQMD designation on the RG06045JNAC identifies the configuration built for South Coast Air Quality Management District requirements, which is what most Southern California permitting bodies ask for on a stationary emergency generator. If your site is inside that district, order the SCAQMD variant rather than the standard Protector, because the permit application is tied to the specific model number. It is UL Listed, ETL Listed, and CSA Certified, which covers the listings an inspector normally asks for on a stationary standby unit in the US and Canada. Startup is automatic with an override, so on loss of utility the unit cranks and picks up load without anyone on site. The catch is that the automatic sequence depends on an automatic transfer switch to sense the outage and signal the generator, and no switch ships with this unit. Order the ATS with it or the automatic function has nothing to trigger it.

The RG06045JNAC carries low oil shutdown, overload protection, automatic voltage regulation, an hour meter, and a programmable exercise cycle. The Evolution controller sits on the outside of the enclosure so a tech can read the LCD and check maintenance intervals without opening it up, and Quiet-Test self-test runs a five or twelve minute exercise at reduced RPM on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly schedule.
