Kraloy 078379 1-1/2-Inch PVC Pipe Strap, 2-Hole

Yes. The PS15 is molded from high impact PVC rather than steel, so it does not rust, and Kraloy lists it for car washes, marinas, water and sewage treatment plants, fish plants, bridges and tunnels, parking garages, and street and highway lighting. That corrosion resistance is the main reason to use a PVC strap over a metal one in damp or chemically aggressive areas.

No fasteners are included. The strap has two pre-drilled mounting holes and you supply the screws or anchors to match the substrate, wood screws into framing, masonry anchors into concrete or block, or self drilling screws into metal. Order fasteners separately when you order the straps.

A two hole strap like the PS15 fastens on both sides of the conduit, so it resists twisting and side loading better and is the usual choice for horizontal runs, long spans, and anywhere the conduit gets bumped. A single hole strap is quicker to install and fine for light vertical work, but it lets the pipe pivot under load. The PS15 is the two hole PVC version for 1-1/2 inch conduit.

It is made to support PVC conduit at 1-1/2 inch, and that is what the strap profile matches. Because trade sizes of EMT and rigid metal conduit have different outside diameters than PVC of the same nominal size, a 1-1/2 inch PVC strap is not a substitute for a 1-1/2 inch EMT or rigid strap. Use the strap made for the raceway you are installing.

The PS15 is a plastic strap, so it holds the 1-1/2 inch conduit against the surface without the sharp edge bite of a steel clamp, which is why it pairs well with PVC runs where thermal movement is expected. On long exterior runs you still handle movement with expansion fittings, not with the straps.

It is sold as Kraloy PS15, manufacturer part number 78379. Quote that number when you are matching straps already installed on a site so the profile and hole spacing are the same across the run.
