1) Will the RAB PIR40 work on a standard 120V lighting circuit?
The PIR40 is a 120V passive infrared motion sensor, so it wires onto the same 120V branch circuit feeding the fixtures it controls. No transformer or low-voltage supply is needed, which is why it drops into existing exterior lighting circuits on a building without rework.
2) How far will the RAB PIR40 motion sensor detect someone walking up?
Detection runs 20 to 40 feet, adjustable, so it covers a driveway, a walkway, or a stretch of building perimeter. Set it toward the short end when you only want the sensor picking up people at an entrance, and toward 40 feet for a parking area or a longer approach where you want the lights on before someone reaches the door.
3) What is the difference between the RAB PIR40 and the PIR40/LCB?

Passive infrared sensing works off heat signatures in motion, not off light or air movement, so the PIR40 ignores wind and blowing debris that would trip other sensing types. That is the tradeoff to know before you spec it: PIR needs a person or vehicle crossing the detection zone to see them, and it wants a clear line of sight to the area you are covering.
