Rittal 6902770 Plastic Cable Gland, 60 mm Hole, RAL 7035

The Rittal 6902770 Cable Gland is a plastic cable entry component engineered for enclosure and panel applications that require a 60 mm mounting hole. It is purpose-built for the entry of cables that already have pre-assembled connectors attached, so installers do not need to disconnect terminated cable ends to route them through an enclosure wall. The gland's rotating flap and cover are easily removed, which speeds up installation and simplifies ongoing cable routing and maintenance during panel build-out or field service. Finished in RAL 7035, this cable gland is designed to integrate cleanly with Rittal enclosure and cabinet systems commonly specified in industrial and commercial electrical installations, giving panel builders a consistent look across the enclosure and its cable entry hardware.

Key Features

  • Hole Size: Sized for a 60 mm mounting hole, providing a precise, repeatable fit in panel and enclosure cutouts.
  • Durable Construction: Molded from plastic for dependable, long-term performance in electrical enclosure and cable entry applications.
  • Removable Flap & Cover: The rotating flap and cover are easily removed, simplifying entry of cables that already have pre-assembled connectors attached, without the need to re-terminate them.
  • Finish: Supplied in RAL 7035, a finish that matches common Rittal enclosure and cabinet colorways for a consistent panel appearance.
  • Simplified Cable Management: The removable flap-and-cover design lets electricians route pre-terminated cable assemblies through the enclosure wall quickly, reducing installation time versus fixed, non-removable entry hardware.
  • Panel-Ready Design: Suited to retrofitting or fitting new cable runs into enclosures already in service, since the flap and cover can be removed and reinstalled as needed.

Rittal 6902770 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What size cutout does the Rittal 6902770 cable gland need in the enclosure wall?
The 6902770 gland drops into a 60 mm hole. If your panel is already punched for a different diameter, this one won't seat correctly, so measure the cutout before ordering. On a new panel build, punch or drill the gland plate to 60 mm.
2) Can I run a cable that already has a connector crimped on it through this Rittal gland?
That is exactly what it is built for. The rotating flap and cover come off, so a pre-terminated cable assembly passes through the 60 mm opening without cutting off and re-terminating the connector. Reinstall the flap and cover once the cable is in place.
3) Is the Rittal 6902770 metal or plastic, and does that matter for my panel?
Molded plastic, not metal. That means no bonding path through the gland itself, so if your installation relies on the entry hardware for continuity you need a metallic gland instead. For standard control panel cable entry where the shield or ground is landed inside the enclosure, the plastic body is fine.
4) Can I add this gland to an enclosure that is already installed and wired?
Yes. Because the flap and cover remove and reinstall, you can add a cable run to a panel already in service without pulling existing terminations. Punch the 60 mm hole, fit the gland, route the cable, and close it back up.
5) Will this cable gland match the color of my Rittal enclosure?
It ships in RAL 7035, the light grey used across common Rittal enclosure and cabinet colorways, so the entry hardware blends with the panel rather than standing out.
