4) Is Grade 2 Braille the right kind for a restroom sign, or do I need Grade 1?
Grade 2 is what the BFM688 carries and it is what ADA signage calls for. Grade 2 is the contracted form of Braille, where common words are shortened, and it is the standard on permanent room identification in commercial buildings. A sign supplied with Grade 1 uncontracted Braille is the one that fails an inspection.
5) Does the Rockwood BFM688 sign cover the men's restroom too, or do I need a separate part?
The BFM688 is the women's restroom sign only. Men's and unisex restrooms each take their own sign in the Rockwood BF series, so a two-restroom job needs at least two part numbers ordered.
