Rockwood RM760 Concealed Edge Pull, 1" by 1-1/4"

No handing. A concealed edge pull is a symmetrical recess in the door edge, so the same part works on a left or right panel and on either leaf of a bypass pair. Order by finish and quantity only. If you're doing a pocket door that gets pulled from both sides, you need one in each edge, or one in the leading edge and a separate flush face pull.

ANSI A156.14, type D2801. For an institutional spec that calls out a D2801 edge pull by ANSI type, the RM760 answers it directly, which is the usual reason this part shows up on a hardware schedule rather than a plain flush pull. That designation is what to put on the submittal.

Depends on whether you want anything projecting from the door edge. The RM760 is concealed, so it recesses into the edge and leaves the face of the door clear, which is what you need where the panel slides into a pocket or behind another leaf and any protrusion would foul. A round edge pull sits out from the edge and gives you a fuller grip, which is easier on a heavy panel or for a resident with limited hand strength. Pockets and bypasses go concealed, exposed edges can take a round pull.

Screws are in the box: two #6 x 3/4 inch flat head sheet metal screws. Those are for fastening the pull into the mortise. Worth knowing before you order a box of them for a fleet of doors, and worth knowing if you're setting into hollow metal versus wood, since flat head SMS bite differently in each. Nothing else is required to mount it.

Eight, and they're the BHMA numbers you'd match to the rest of the opening: 605 polished clear coated, 606 satin clear coated, 612 satin clear coated, 613 satin oxidized oil rubbed, 613E dark oxidized satin bronze equivalent, 625 polished chrome plated, 626 satin chrome plated, and BSP black suede powder coat. If you're standardizing across a building, 626 satin chrome matches most satin chrome levers and 613 oil rubbed matches dark bronze trim. The 613E is the equivalent finish rather than the true oxidized bronze, so pick one or the other across a job and stay with it.

Brass substrate and a commercial rating, so yes for multi-family corridor and unit closet duty. The thing that wears first on an edge pull isn't the body, it's the finish, since fingers are on it every cycle. For heavy traffic the plated and coated finishes hold better under hand oils than a living finish; 626 satin chrome plated is the usual pick for fleets because scratches don't read on it and touch-ups match. The 613 satin oxidized oil rubbed will change tone with use, which some owners want and some don't.

The concealed models are the Rockwood RM760 at 1 inch by 4-1/4 inch, the Trimco 1062 Series, and the Trimco 1063 at 3/4 inch by 3-7/8 inch. The RM760 and the Trimco 1063 are different footprints, so a building standardized on one will need its cutout redone to accept the other. Pick one body size for the whole fleet and carry it in a single finish - the RM760 runs across eight finishes from 605 polished clear coated through 626 satin chrome plated and BSP black suede powder coat, so matching existing door hardware rarely forces a second model.
