1) Is the ROFU plug-in transformer UL listed, and what does Class 2 mean for my wiring?
It is a UL Listed Class 2 transformer. Class 2 is the rating an inspector looks for on low-voltage access control power: the output is power-limited, so the field wiring between the transformer and the strike is not held to the same conduit and wiring-method rules as line voltage. That is what lets an integrator run low-voltage cable to the door. Input side is still 120 VAC.
2) Do I need an electrician to install a ROFU 9112 or 9124 transformer?
No. It is a plug-in unit, so the primary side goes into an ordinary 120 VAC 60 Hz receptacle, no junction box, no hardwiring, no line-voltage termination. Only the Class 2 low-voltage side gets run to the door. That makes it a fast fix for a property manager or locksmith adding a single electrified opening where an outlet is already nearby. What it also means is that the door depends on that outlet staying live and unplugged-by-nobody, so pick a receptacle inside a controlled space.
3) Will a ROFU transformer work on 220V or 50Hz power outside North America?
No. Input is 120 VAC at 60 Hz only, so it is a North American product. On 220-240 V or 50 Hz mains it is the wrong part, and you need a transformer rated for your local supply.
4) Is the ROFU 9112/9124 transformer rated for commercial use?
