For a property manager standardizing a warehouse or parking structure, that means one stock item can match whatever the rest of the building is already running.

Output is 10,400 to 11,200 lumens depending on the selected color temperature, drawn at 80 watts. That lumen range is in line with what an aged 250W metal halide actually delivers after depreciation, so it is the usual swap target for a lamp in this output class. Compare against the maintained lumens of what you are pulling out rather than the original lamp's rated wattage.

The lamp is dimmable, which is unusual for an HID replacement lamp. Because it is a ballast bypass design wired to line voltage in the 277 to 480 volt range, dimming is handled on the line side, not through an HID ballast. Confirm your dimming equipment is rated for that supply voltage.

There's built-in surge protection rated 4kV in the S23167, which is what you want on 277 to 480 volt industrial branch circuits feeding high bays, canopies, or exterior pole lighting where switching transients are common. No external surge device is needed for that level of protection.

CRI is 80+, which is the normal commercial benchmark and fine for warehouse, parking, and general industrial work as well as back-of-house retail. For color-critical retail display or inspection work you would want a 90+ CRI source instead.

Construction is aluminum with a polycarbonate lens or housing section. The aluminum body is the heat sink, so the lamp needs air around it; an enclosed or tightly gasketed fixture restricts that cooling. Treat open or ventilated fixtures as the default application for a lamp built this way.
