Schaub 211111-AZ – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the Schaub 211111 Vinci backplate line up with my existing 18 inch hole spacing?
Yes, if your holes are drilled 18 inches apart center to center. The Schaub 211111 Vinci backplate is made to an 18 inch center-to-center dimension, so it drops onto cabinetry already bored at that spacing and takes the same pull through the same two holes. If your existing bore is anything other than 18 inches, this plate will not line up and you would need a different center-to-center size from the Vinci range.
2) Does the Schaub 211111 backplate include the pull, or do I order that separately?
The 211111 is the backplate only. It is a decorative and protective plate that mounts behind the hardware, so you order the matching Vinci knob or pull separately in the same finish. Plan on one plate per pull, and mounting screws long enough to pass through both the plate and the door or drawer front.
3) What finishes does the Schaub Vinci 18 inch backplate come in?
Four bronze finishes: Antique Bronze (AZ), Black Bronze (BB), Natural Bronze (NB), and Polished White Bronze (PWB). Those are the full set of choices, so if you are matching other Vinci hardware already in the room, order the plate in the same finish code the pulls carry.
4) Will the Vinci backplate match hardware I already have on other cabinets?
It matches within the Schaub Vinci collection. The 211111 is a Vinci piece in a Rustic style, so it coordinates with Vinci knobs and pulls in the same finish code. Across collections, the bronze finishes will read close but the styling detail differs, so for a uniform look through a kitchen or a block of units keep everything on Vinci and on one finish.
5) What does a cabinet backplate actually do behind the pull?
It takes the wear. Hands, rings, and fingernails hit the door face around the hardware, and the plate keeps that abuse off the finish of the cabinet itself, which matters on painted or soft wood fronts in rental and high-traffic kitchens. The second job is visual, adding depth and a defined field behind the pull.
