Yes, if the lock is an L Series. The 09-632N is L Series trim in the N escutcheon design, and the plate measures 8 x 2-9/16 x 7/16 inches. L Series is Schlage's mortise line, so this is mortise lock trim, not cylindrical trim. If the door has a bored (cylindrical) lockset in it, this plate has no application on it.

No cylinder cutout at all. The 09-632N is the blank inside plate, so it goes on the interior face of the opening where nothing passes through the escutcheon but the spindle. Whatever takes the key on the other side of the door is a separate escutcheon with the cylinder prep cut into it.

Trim only. An escutcheon is the plate that mounts to the door face and dresses the mortise pocket, and the 09-632N is the inside half of that pair. The L Series mortise lock body, the cylinder, and the knob or lever are all separate line items, so if you are building a complete opening from parts you need those on the order too.

On commercial openings 626 and 630 are the two you will run into most.

Measure before you order. The 09-632N gives you a face measuring 8 x 2-9/16 inches with a 7/16 inch section. Put a tape on the plate coming off the door and on the exposed prep around it. If the old trim runs longer or wider in either direction, the N plate will leave part of that cut showing, and you are better off matching the original escutcheon size than filling and refinishing the door.

Not if the function needs a turn. The 09-632N is blank, meaning the plate is solid with no cylinder or thumbturn cutout in it, so a function that puts a turn piece or an inside cylinder on the interior of the door needs the escutcheon prepped for it instead. Read the function code on the lock first, then pick the inside trim to suit it. The blank plate is for the functions where nothing but the spindle comes through the interior side.
