2) What does a blank armor front mean on a mortise lock, and when do I need one?
Blank means the face plate is solid, with no cylinder or turn cutouts through it. You use it on mortise functions that do not need a cylinder or thumbturn breaking through the edge of the door, so the door edge reads as a clean plate. If your lock function has an outside cylinder or an inside turn, a blank front will not clear it and you need the prepped version.
3) What finishes does the Schlage 09-661 come in, and can I match the rest of my hardware?
