Both, from the same part. The 12-289 bolt adjusts between a 2-3/8 inch and a 2-3/4 inch backset, which are the two standard bore centers used on North American doors, so you don't have to know which one the door is drilled to before you order. To confirm what you have, measure from the door edge to the center of the cross bore, then set the adjustment before the bolt goes into the edge bore.

S200 and B500 Series deadbolts. Model 12-289 is the bolt assembly on its own, so it's what you order when the housing and cylinder are still good but the bolt is binding, chewed up at the strike, or set to the wrong backset for the door it has to go into.
