1) Can the FE575 keypad lock go into an existing bored door prep, or does the door have to be re-drilled?
It drops into a standard bored prep. The FE575 uses a 2-1/8 inch cross bore and an adjustable backset that sets to either 2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inches, which are the two backsets a bored residential door is drilled to. If the existing knob or lever came out of a 2-1/8 inch bore at either of those backsets, the keypad lever goes back in the same holes. The latch faceplate is 1 x 2-1/4 inches with radius corners, and round corner, square corner, and drive-in faceplate options are supplied, so it matches whichever edge prep is already cut.
2) Do I have to order the FE575 keypad lever left hand or right hand?
No handing to specify. The FE575 Plymouth lever is non-handed, so one part number covers both left and right hand swings. The lever orientation is set during installation rather than at the order.
3) Does the Schlage FE575 keypad lever have a key override, and what keyway is it?
