It bolts into the enclosure to give the neutral conductors a solid, unswitched landing point so the grounded conductor stays continuous through the disconnect while the ungrounded poles are switched. If you are feeding a 4-wire circuit through a 3-pole heavy duty disconnect, this is the part that terminates the neutral.
2) Will the SN0310 solid neutral fit any Square D disconnect, or only certain switches?
