Metallics HK516 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size hex key does the Metallics HK516 take?
The HK516 is a 5/16 hex key screw, so it drives with a 5/16 inch hex (Allen) key. If your kit tops out below 5/16, you'll need to add that size before the install.
2) Is the Metallics HK516 sold individually or in a box?
It ships as a single piece. Order the quantity you need screw by screw rather than expecting a carton count.
3) What part number do I give my distributor for the Metallics 5/16 hex key screw?
Ask for Metallics HK516. That's the manufacturer part number and the full model designation, so there's no suffix or option code to add.
4) What is the Metallics HK516 actually used for on an electrical job?
It's a hex key screw stocked as electrical fastening hardware, the kind of set screw you replace on connectors, lugs, and similar terminations rather than a general wood or sheet metal screw.
