Metallics HKCF7T – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the HKCF7T a Torx driver set or a hex (Allen) set?
Torx. The Metallics HKCF7T is a Torx fold-up set, so the tips are the six-lobe star pattern, not hex. If you are driving hex socket screws you need a hex fold-up set instead, since Torx tips will not seat correctly in a hex socket.
2) How many Torx keys come in the Metallics HKCF7T fold-up set?
The HKCF7T is a 7 piece classic fold-up Torx key set, and it ships as a single set (1 pc). All seven keys are held in the fold-up handle body rather than supplied loose, so nothing comes separately bagged.
3) Why would an electrician carry a fold-up Torx set instead of individual keys?
A fold-up set keeps all seven Torx keys captive in one handle, so nothing gets dropped into a panel or lost out of a pouch, and the handle gives you leverage that a loose L-key does not. The Metallics HKCF7T is sold as an electrical fastener tool for exactly that kind of panel and device work.
