Metallics LTZP2859B – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Are the Metallics LTZP2859B screws zinc plated or stainless?
Zinc plated, not stainless. Zinc plating suits dry interior work such as box, strap, and bracket mounting. For exterior or damp locations where corrosion is a concern, specify a stainless or coated exterior-rated fastener instead.
2) Is the Metallics Game Changer screw made in the USA?
Yes. The Game Changer 12 x 1-1/4 inch zinc screw is a USA-made fastener, which matters on public and institutional jobs carrying domestic-content requirements.
3) Does a 5,000 piece box of #12 x 1-1/4 screws make sense for a single job?
The LTZP2859B is packaged as a 5,000 piece bulk box, which is sized for a crew or a shop that runs the same #12 x 1-1/4 zinc screw across multiple jobs, or for MRO stock on a cart. For a one-off install it is far more fastener than you need.
