Yes. The TP800SOC uses a spanner (snake eye) tamper-resistant head, which takes a two-pin spanner driver bit. A standard Phillips, slotted, or Torx bit will not engage it, so order the spanner bit with the screws if you don't already carry one.

The TP800SOC is 18-8 stainless steel, the common austenitic grade used for corrosion resistance in damp and exterior conditions. That makes it a reasonable choice for outdoor device plates, car wash and food service areas, and coastal-adjacent interiors where plated steel screws would rust. For direct saltwater exposure, specify 316 stainless instead.

Security. A spanner head can't be backed out with any tool a passerby carries, which is why these go on switch and receptacle plates, junction box covers and device covers in schools, transit stations, correctional facilities, public restrooms and multi-family common areas. In those spots you're trying to keep the cover on, not make service quick. For back-of-house or tenant-side work where maintenance opens plates often, a plain Phillips 6-32 is less hassle.

Each pack of TP800SOC is 100 pieces, enough for 50 duplex plates at two screws each. Buying the box is the usual move on a retrofit where you're standardizing every plate in a building on one tamper-resistant head.

It's an oval head, so it seats partly into a countersunk hole and leaves a low rounded crown above the surface. On a standard countersunk device plate it sits nearly flush with a slight dome, unlike a flat head which finishes level or a round head which sits entirely on top of the material.
