The Sioux Chief 5015 is a 1-1/4" copper-plated tube strap designed to anchor copper tubing to wood or metal framing during rough-in plumbing installation. Each strap ships with mounting nails included, so plumbers can secure copper tube runs directly to framing members without sourcing separate fasteners on the truck. The copper-plated finish coordinates with copper tube systems and is built to hold up in typical rough-in wall and floor cavity environments. This tube strap is manufactured in the United States and packaged 100 per carton for stocking rough-in jobs and service trucks.

Key Features

  • Trade Size: Sized for 1-1/4" copper tubing, matching common residential and commercial copper water line runs.

Sioux Chief 5015 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is a copper-plated strap required for copper water lines, or can I use a steel strap?
The 5015 is copper-plated so the strap material coordinates with copper tube and resists corrosion where it sits inside a closed wall or floor cavity. Bare or galvanized steel in direct contact with copper in a damp cavity is the condition plumbers avoid, which is why plated straps are the standard choice on copper rough-in.
2) Can I use the 5015 strap on vertical copper risers as well as horizontal runs?
Both. The strap wraps the tube and pins it to the framing member, so it works on horizontal runs through studs or joists and on vertical risers, keeping the line from sagging or moving and cutting the ticking noise that comes from unsupported copper.
3) How many Sioux Chief 5015 tube straps come in a carton?
Packaged 100 each per carton. That quantity is aimed at rough-in crews strapping a full house or a floor of a multi-family build, and at service trucks that want a standing stock of 1-1/4 inch copper supports rather than counting out pieces per job.
4) Is the Sioux Chief 5015 tube strap made in the USA for Buy American jobs?
Country of origin on the 5015 is the United States. For public or federally funded work where domestic sourcing is a condition of the spec, that is the origin to record for this strap.
