Sioux Chief 520-626 Wider Slider Adjustable Pipe Support Bracket, 13" to 23", Galvanized Steel

The Sioux Chief 520-626 Wider Slider is an adjustable pipe support bracket built from galvanized steel for rough-in plumbing installations. It telescopes to span 13" to 23" between framing members, letting a plumber mount one bracket across varying joist or stud spacing instead of stocking several fixed-length brackets. The galvanized construction stands up to the concealed, behind-the-wall and under-floor conditions the bracket sees once rough-in is closed up, and the slider action means field crews can set the span on the job rather than pre-measuring for a fixed-length part.

Key Features

  • Adjustable Span: Telescopes from 13" to 23" to fit across varying floor joist or wall stud spacing without cutting or field-modifying the bracket.
  • Galvanized Steel Construction: Corrosion-resistant galvanized steel body suited for concealed, behind-the-wall and under-floor rough-in applications.
  • Wider Slider Design: Sliding-bracket configuration lets a single part cover a range of framing spans, cutting down on the number of fixed-size supports a plumber has to stock for a rough-in job.
  • Rough-In Ready: Sized and finished for use as concealed pipe support behind walls and under floors, not as a decorative or exposed fitting.
  • Contractor Packaging: Sold 50 EA per carton, suited to distributors and contractors stocking multiple pipe-support points per job.

Why Sioux Chief?

Sioux Chief builds its rough-in plumbing hardware for consistent, jobsite-ready performance, and the 520-626 Wider Slider follows that same approach with galvanized steel construction and an adjustable 13" to 23" span that fits a wide range of framing layouts. For plumbers and contractors who need dependable pipe support behind the wall, one adjustable bracket in place of several fixed-length parts means fewer SKUs to stock and fewer callbacks for a mis-sized support on the next rough-in job.

Sioux Chief 520-626 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the Sioux Chief 520-626 Wider Slider span 16 inch on center floor joists?
Yes. The 520-626 telescopes anywhere from 13 to 23 inches, so standard 16 inch on center joist or stud bays fall inside its range, as do 19.2 and some wider framing layouts. You set the span in the field, so there is no cutting or pre-measuring for a fixed-length bracket.
2) Is a galvanized pipe bracket OK for concealed under-floor and in-wall pipe support?
That is exactly what the 520-626 is built for. The body is galvanized steel, which handles the damp, concealed conditions behind a finished wall or under a floor once rough-in is closed up. It is a structural support part, not a finished or exposed trim piece.
3) Can one adjustable bracket replace the several fixed-length pipe supports I stock for rough-in?
Across spans of 13 to 23 inches, yes. Because the 520-626 slides to length on the job, a single part number covers framing bays that would otherwise need two or three fixed-length brackets, which cuts stocked SKUs and mis-sized support callbacks. Anything narrower than 13 inches or wider than 23 inches still needs a different support.
4) Is the Wider Slider a pipe hanger or a bracket that mounts between framing members?
It is a span-type support: the bracket mounts across two framing members, joist to joist or stud to stud, and the pipe is carried on the bracket. It is not a drop hanger that suspends from a single point overhead.
5) Will this work for a remodel where the existing joist spacing is inconsistent?
That is one of its better uses. On retrofit work where bays were framed irregularly, the slider is set to the actual measured span on site rather than ordering to a nominal spacing, so the same bracket works bay to bay anywhere between 13 and 23 inches.
6) How does the 520-626 ship, and is it sold individually or by the box?
The Wider Slider comes 50 each per carton, which is how Sioux Chief packages it for contractors and distributors stocking many support points across a job.
7) What is the Sioux Chief part number and UPC for the Wider Slider adjustable bracket?
The manufacturer part number is 520-626, with UPC 739236201317. It is made in the United States.
