IDEAL Industries 30-C2016T SLK® Disconnect Fused Kit, Non-Breakaway, Crimp, 2-Line/1-Load

The 30-C2016T accepts a 13/32 x 1-1/2 inch midget-style fuse, and the fuse is not supplied with the kit. Order the fuse separately, sized to the luminaire load, before the pole goes up.

Wire range is 2 through 14 AWG, and the connectors are rated for both copper and aluminum. That covers typical pole-base taps from a 2 AWG street lighting feeder down to the 14 AWG luminaire leads on the load side.

It is Listed to UL 486D, which is the standard covering connectors for submerged use, so it is built for the wet, occasionally flooded handholes at the base of a light pole. It is rated to 105 degrees C as well.

Yes. The ratings are 30A, 600V, 105 degrees C, so 120V, 240V, 277V and 480V lighting branch circuits are all within its voltage rating as long as the load stays at or under 30 amps.

It is a 2-line, 1-load kit. That gives you two fused line-side connections (typical of a two-conductor pole feed passing through the base) and one load connection out to the fixture. If your pole base has a different conductor count, pick the SLK kit with the matching line/load configuration.

The 30-C2016T is the crimp termination version, so you need the proper crimp tool and die on site but you get a permanent, tool-verified connection that suits buried pole bases. IDEAL also builds the SLK line with set screw terminations, which reterminate with a screwdriver and are easier for crews doing frequent lamp or ballast swaps.

Non-breakaway means the holder stays mechanically intact under pull; it does not separate. Breakaway fuseholders are the ones intended for roadway, street, parking lot and area lighting, where a pole knockdown should part the connection. If your spec calls for a breakaway holder at the pole base, order the breakaway SLK kit rather than the 30-C2016T.

The bright orange body is for visibility, so a crew opening a pole handhole or junction spots the fused disconnect right away against dark conductors and grout. It matters most on maintenance calls where someone needs to find and pull the fuse fast.
